Estill Countians for Equality
We are a group of Estill Countians who are committed to establishing an environment that embraces diversity, equality, advocacy, accountability, and education for its citizens. Together we will help move our community forward by providing a safe space for ALL, engaging in challenging conversations, and creating allies in the fight for equality.
Join us on Facebook
Currently, we are the most active in our Facebook group. This is a great place for conversation, connecting with others, and seeing what activities we have coming up!
Billboard Fundraiser
Currently, we are raising money to put a billboard up in Estill County. The goal is to show marginalized members of our community that we support them and that they matter.

Previous Initiatives
Before Estill Countians for Equality was officially organized, our members and community members have hosted events in the effort to promote equality and belonging. As we grow and develop our organization, we hope to continue momentum of making Estill County a welcoming and safe space for everyone.
Black Lives Matter Rally
On June 8, 2020, Estill Countians came together for a Black Lives Matter Rally.
The event description read: As the world around us is hurting and crying out for equality we believe it is time that our own community take a stand. We want to peacefully stand with our brothers and sisters and let it be known that Estill County is not a place where hate will be tolerated due to the skin color of another human and that love is all that we want to offer. We ask that you join us on this evening to honor those who have lost their lives and to celebrate a change that is coming to our world as we know it.
